About Sea3 Systems

Sea3 Systems is a marine technology company focused on supporting shipbuilders, systems OEMs, as well as owners and operators, with deep domain expertise and projects completed for clients in the commercial, military, research and yachting segments.

Throughout our 35-year plus history, Sea3 has excelled in developing state-of-the-art technologies in electronic navigation; vessel monitoring, integrated energy management and control systems; underwater instrumentation platforms and submarine life support systems; as well as vessel electrification and hybrid propulsion.

Sea3 has also completed many yacht and commercial vessel projects for driveline designs, hydraulic systems, electrical power distribution, vibration mitigation and structural modifications. Sea3 is licensed to practice engineering and adheres to stringent standards of professionalism.

Our expertise includes electric, hybrid, and conventional propulsion systems, controls and automation, hydrodynamics and mechanical system design. We design new systems and applications and provide technical innovation to create custom electronic solutions for even the most complex problems.

Disciplined Design and Engineering Approach

Sea3’s naval architects and engineers are highly trained technologists with deep technical knowledge and practical experience across the broad spectrum of required disciplines.

Sea3 produces bespoke, efficient and innovative solutions for each project using advanced CAD tools, computer-based modeling and numerical simulation to test and refine designs before going to sea, thereby reducing project development time and cost while providing a solid technical base for ongoing maintenance.

At the core of approach is our understanding that a vessel, no matter its size, is a system of systems: propulsion; navigation; electrical power; water; waste; air conditioning; communications…the list goes on. Each system must operate effectively among the existing ones, often interoperating with them.

Our holistic, multidisciplinary approach reduces design time, improves performance, reduces build cost and improves maintainability of the entire vessel. Sea3 designs software-based systems which tie all the vessel subsystems together, ensuring they work together effectively.
